Ghanaian-Australian sister duo Kinder (Briony and Savannah) are back today with the release of their first solo single in a year, ‘Still The Same’.

Written by Kinder with Michael Christofi and Sky Adams, ‘Still The Same’ is a divine electro-house-pop song with a hypnotic techno beat and beautiful layered vocals that move from ethereal to direct. While the track is rooted firmly on the dancefloor, there is a touching, emotional melancholy to the song as Kinder sing of trying to find yourself and realising the answer lies within and not in your surroundings. ‘All around the world I’m looking for who I want to be / But I’m not sure’ they sing before the song ends with a plaintive ‘I still don’t know who I am or what I’m searching for’.

"We wrote this track last year when we were travelling and I realised it didn't matter if I was in London, LA or New York, the internal struggle I was facing didn't go away, it was just a distraction,” Savannah says. “I realised I had to do the inner work in order to really overcome the overall feeling of being lost and sit with the discomfort of solitude and be ok with that."

The single release comes ahead of their Primal Sunsets Rooftop Party tour which will see them perform at rooftop venues across Australia, starting in Gold Coast/Yugambeh on March 21, finishing in Sydney/Warrang on March 30. Tickets are on sale now here.

"It's nice for us to welcome a new chapter where we have explored new sounds and concepts,” Kinder say. “We are excited to bring this all together in a live setting and blend the old with the new.”

Since their first release in 2018, Kinder have become one of Australia’s most prominent and popular dance acts. They have supported some of dance music’s biggest names including Marshmello, RL Grime, and Elderbrook, as well as playing some of the Australia’s biggest festivals including Splendour In The Grass, Dark Mofo, Spilt Milk, Listen Out, Out Of The Woods. Last year they were the stars of a Pepsi Max commercial that featured their song ‘Come Along’.

Kinder have kicked off their 2025 in the most impressive way possible, and with more new music to come ‘Still The Same’ is proof Kinder are creating some of their best music to date.
