Yarlie releases new single 'Blush'
Sweden’s Yarlie today releases her second single ‘Blush’. Following on from her debut release, the sassy pop-R&B ‘Wreck’, ‘Blush’ sees Yarlie take a more melancholic, emotionally fragile path with a gorgeous, gentle synth soundscape backing a lyrical story of being in love but realising something in the relationship has changed.
“When you've become so close to somebody that you've almost turned into one, when you know somebody so well that you're able to understand and hear that person without them saying a thing, it's easy to tell when something's changed. When something's not right,” Yarlie says of the inspiration behind the song. “For me, that intimacy and vulnerability, that's what ‘Blush’ is about.”
A self-taught pianist who has since fallen irretrievably in love with electronica and synth, Yarlie makes the kind of irresistible pop music that is infectious enough to hook you in straight away but with her own unique stamp on it that will keep you fascinated for months. Expect more great things from this new young talent.
