British rising star Aziya has released her new single ‘i’m in love, believe it’. The release comes just after Aziya performed in Australia as support for Lola Young.
Written by Aziya with Josef Page and songwriting titan Amy Allen, who has written hits for Sabrina Carpenter, Rosé and P!nk amongst many, ‘i’m in love, believe it’ is a gorgeous, stripped back guitar ballad that sees Aziya somewhat confused to find she is actually in love with someone. ‘Thinking about you is making me antisocial…it’s not my age or the alcohol / I’m in love, believe it’ she sings.
“Who would have thought it - love finally found me. I'm in love, I'm terrified and I wrote a song about it.” Aziya says.
‘i’m in love, believe it’ is Aziya’s first release since last November’s mixtape Bambi, a collection of 10 tracks that explored her search for love and understanding. ‘i’m in love, believe it’ almost forms a sequel to Bambi as she enters a new positive mindset, now with the security of a loving relationship.
Aziya first appeared on the music scene in 2021 with the indiepop-rock single ‘Slip!’ It featured on her debut EP We Speak of Tides which was released in the same year, featuring gritty, punk influenced indie alongside smooth, traditional pop leanings on tracks such as ‘Heaven For Me’. She has gone on to attract praise from artists such as Grimes and H.E.R. and has performed as support act for Griff and thxsomch.
A charismatic performer with a real talent for creating uncluttered yet emotionally connective music, Aziya is one up and coming artist to get really excited about. Make her your new favourite popstar now.
‘i’m in love, believe it’ is out now via Warner Music. You can buy and stream here.
