miramar release new single 'In The Morning'

Eora/Sydney based trio miramar today release their new single ‘In The Morning’, their first new music since they dropped their debut EP Sleepwalking last December.

The song is a delicious, summery escapade into electropop and funk with a dash of indie topped off by a heady, minute long middle eight instrumental breakdown that fuses disco with synth, transporting you firmly to the dancefloor. The song speaks of a big night out, but one where you have fallen for someone who doesn't return your feelings. “I always say that I’ll make you my own today / But no matter what I try those plans just always fade away…maybe one day I’ll feel your touch in the morning,’ frontwoman Roisin Yau sings.

After releasing their debut single ‘Smoke Machine’ in 2021, miramar have played over 50 shows across Sydney and embarked on three east coast tours. Their electronic soundscape leans into the grittier side of pop and masterfully treads the line between experimental, abstract dance music and accessible, contemporary pop. In just three years they have deservedly become one of Sydney’s premier up and coming electronic artists, a reputation that they are set to expand in 2025 with the release of their second EP early in the new year.
