Grammy-nominated UK star Jorja Smith has today announced she will be touring Australia in October.
Supporting the release of her highly acclaimed second album Falling or Flying released last year, Smith will open the tour in Melbourne on 8 October before performing in Adelaide and Sydney. The shows will be Smith’s first in Australia since 2019.
Her first album in five years, Falling or Flying was a commanding release of Smith’s signature brand of R&B mixed with pop, soul, Afrobeat and dancehall. A reflection of an artist more confident than ever, it peaked at number 3 on the UK album charts and produced the UK top 20 hit ‘Little Things’. She has toured the album across both the UK and US, and before she hits Australia will be performing at Reading & Leeds Festival, Pukkelpop Festival and Superbloom Festival.
Smith first came to prominence in 2017 when she appeared on the Drake single ‘Get It Together’. Her 2018 debut album Lost & Found peaked at number 3 in the UK, 13 in Australia and 41 in the US. She has since won 2 Brit Awards and in 2019 was nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards.
An entrancing artist, her live shows will be a highlight of October and an event not to be missed.
