Dulcie release new single 'Dust'
Four piece indie band from WA, Dulcie today release their brand new single and video ‘Dust’. A joyful, blissful track that rolls along with addictive melodies and harmonies, it eventually captures your soul and it is impossible to not feel everything is okay with the world after just one listen.
“It’s fair to say that most of us have been short-sighted going into things before,” the band say of ‘Dust’. “There never seems to be any red flags in the beginning, it’s exciting and easy to dive in head first. ‘Dust’ is a song about realising something isn’t what you thought and as time goes on you lose touch of what it was that was good for you in the first place.”
The accompanying video, directed by Liam Fawell and filmed throughout Perth, is a fun and kooky story of overcoming your problems and making friends all through the magic of rollerskates.
Formed in April 2018, Dulcie is comprised of Ashleigh Carr-White, Timieka Denton, Saskia Brittain and Madison Hanley. Refusing to accept that there can only be one lead singer, and in keeping with their ‘all in this together’ mentality, they interchange between three vocalists. Over the past two years the band toured far and wide and shared stages with acts such as G Flip, San Cisco, Spacey Jane and Polish Club as well as making appearances at BIGSOUND and Groovin The Moo.
Dulcie have big plans for the rest of the year and into next year including a tour supporting Ocean Alley, tour dates below. Spending much of this year during lockdown making music, there is so much more to look forward to from Dulcie in the next 12 months.
‘Dust’ is out now. You can download and stream here.
