Becca Hatch releases new dancefloor anthem 'Think Of You'

Australia’s Becca Hatch today has released her new single, the dancefloor anthem ‘Think Of You’. It continues a new chapter of Hatch’s music that has seen her embrace house influenced electronic-synth-dance pop.

Starting with gentle, lullaby-esque chimes and just Hatch’s voice, a frantic beat soon kicks in accompanied by a kaleidoscope of swirling electronic sonics and distorted vocals that become more and more intriguing and addictive the more you listen.

The lyrics add a melancholy vibe to the song as Hatch reflects on a relationship that has ended but she isn’t able to let go. ‘I try to get you off my mind / But when I’m in the club I seem to always think of you’

“‘Think Of You’ is a song about the process of trying to forget a relationship that didn’t end well,” Hatch says. “Sometimes when relationships end, even if you want to move on, it can be hard to let go of the connection you once had. Our real feelings seem to find ways to reveal themselves to us through small reminders in our life; like songs, places and people. While this process is painful, these reminders eventually teach us how important it is to love and put ourselves first.”

Also out today is the music video for ‘Think Of You’. Inspired by Hatch’s love of gaming, the video sees a 2000s inspired avatar of Hatch embarking on a journey to reclaim her power.

“The visuals were made by the very talented Sydney artist Kyla Bose (@kyberneticss),” Hatch says. “We first started working a while back on my live show visuals and I felt like she encapsulated the essence of the new era of music. The video follows the 2000s video game inspired version of Becca as she goes through this journey of reclaiming her power.”
