Lara D releases new single 'Better By Myself'

Rising Australian star Lara D today releases her new single ‘Better By Myself’ and announces her debut EP Yours Truly will be released on June 10.

The track is a gorgeous, multi-faceted R&B track that also incorporates slivers of jazz and rap and highlights Lara’s ability to inhabit any genre she choses after the pure pop of previous single ‘Bad Case Of Loving You’.

“’Better By Myself’ is about knowing your worth and taking the steps toward the journey you want to have for your life, even if it means doing it on your own,” Lara says. “It’s about self-accomplishment and self-determination to believe in you when no one else does or tries to tell you what your purpose should be in life. It’s about learning to love yourself and appreciating your own presence and not needing to surround yourself with people to be satisfied with oneself/happy.”

Lara D is quickly proving she has the talent and the drive to become Australia’s next global breakthrough act. With a remarkable voice and an innate musicality that shines through on every track, she is making the type of music that is ahead of the game while also remaining utterly accessible. Her EP is sure to be one of this year’s best and we can wait to see how her creativity develops in the coming years.
