Meg Mac launches new single 'Only Love'

Meg Mac today releases new single ‘Only Love’, her third new track since her return to music earlier this year after a hiatus of nearly three years.
The track is a gorgeous alt-pop track with a hint of country and like all of Mac’s newest music is soaring and cinematic in its scope. Lyrically the song explores heartbreak but from the perspective of never regretting what has been, even though it ultimately caused pain. “Would I do it again? / Oh yes I’d do it again / At the end of the day / It’ll hurt just the same,” she sings.
"It feels like my calling, my purpose, my happiness but it’s driving me crazy and the root of all my troubles,” Mac says. “How can it be the source of my best and worst moments?"
After becoming one of Australia’s biggest breakthrough acts in the latter years of last decade, Mac has been quiet musically since 2019 but came back in a big way earlier this year with the anthemic ‘Is It Worth Being Sad’ and the gorgeously eclectic ‘On Your Mind’. Mac is creating some of the best music of her career and later this month she will return to the stage for the first time in two years with shows across Australia. With more music to come in the coming months there is a sense Mac has been reborn as a supremely confident and assured artist and we can’t wait to hear it all.
‘Only Love’ is out now via EMI. You can download and stream here.
