Anna Arco returns with new single 'Please Heart' ahead of third album 'Songs of Sins And Scars'

Sweden’s Anna Arco today returns with the release of her new single ‘Please Heart’. It is the second single to be released from her third album Songs of Sins and Scars, which is due to be released later this year.
‘Please Heart’ is a stunningly beautiful ballad with a soundscape that is gentle and pared back, yet remaining consistently intriguing and full, with piano, strings and ethereal synths making an appearance throughout the song. Arco and Blu’s vocals complement each other beautifully, with Arco’s vocals expanding into heights she has previously not captured on record.
The song echos “the delicate balance of openheartedness and vulnerability,” as the lyrics explore the difficulties, and fear, that come with showing your full emotions.
The single follows on from last year’s release ‘Lovely Flower’ and both songs will feature on Arco’s third album Songs of Sins and Scars which is to be released towards the end of 2024. It is the third and final release in Arco’s trilogy of ‘Songs’ albums, after 2019 Songs Within The Spectrum and 2021’s Sad Secret Songs.
Arco - her stage name comes from the Greek foundation of the word ‘anarchism’ - is an accomplished jazz musician and has a Master's Degree in Jazz Vocals from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. She released her first single ‘The Ocean’ in 2017, and since then her music has received critical acclaim in Sweden and across Europe, including winning an award from the Swedish Musicians Union for her work on equality in the music industry.
Arco is an artist of unique beauty. Listening to her music is a journey that takes you outside genre and structure while still feeling relatable. It will invoke emotions and feelings you may not be able to categorise, but will undoubtedly leave you more enriched for the experience. ‘Please Heart’ is a beautiful song and augurs well for Arco’s next body of work Songs of Sins and Scars.
