Jessie Ware releases new single 'Please' and announces deluxe version of 'What's Your Pleasure?' album
British singer songwriter Jessie Ware today releases the new single ‘Please’ alongside the announcement that a deluxe version of 2020’s highly acclaimed What’s Your Pleasure? album will be released in June 11 titled What’s Your Pleasure? The Platinum Pleasure Edition.
‘Please’ is a magnificent, 1970s and 1980s inspired synthpop dance anthem with doses of disco and soul thrown in, all held together with Ware’s divine vocals. It is the perfect sonic companion to last year’s What’s Your Pleasure? album which overflowed with addictive synth and electro pop tracks which evoked the 1980s with style while still remaining utterly contemporary.
What’s Your Pleasure? peaked at number 3 on the UK album charts with each song on the album achieving at least 2 million individual streams on Spotify alone. After a brilliant performance of the single ‘Remember Where You Are’ on The Graham Norton Show earlier this year the album re-entered the UK top 10 in February.
The deluxe version of the album contains the original album and adds six new tracks, including a remix of the 2019 single ‘Adore You’. “I had such an amazing response to the What’s Your Pleasure? record that I didn’t want the lights to go up and the party to be over just yet!,” Ware says. “‘Please’ is full of optimism and ready to be played in a place where we can all be together and flirt, dance, touch, and kiss. A wonderful excuse not to stop the party from ending.”
The huge success of the album has seen Ware receiving two BRIT Awards nominations, for Female Solo Artist and Best Album, with the ceremony due to be held on 11 May.
Alongside her music career, Ware is also a hugely successful podcaster, with the Table Manners podcast, co-hosted with her mother, scoring 23 million listens to date and has featured guests such as Kylie Minogue, Dua Lipa and Dolly Parton.
