Carla Wehbe returns with new single 'OCD"

Rising Australian superstar Carla Wehbe returns today with the single ‘OCD’, her first new music of 2025.
Written and produced by Wehbe and Robby De Sa (The Veronicas, MAYA, Tina Arena), ‘OCD’ is a gentle indie-pop-rock track with a hint of a country twang, with Wehbe delivering a vocal that expresses frustration, dejection and loss as she sings of the trauma obsessive compulsion disorder (OCD) can wreak. “I’m destructive / I’m breaking / Every day ruminating / Mentally negotiating / And I really fucking hate it.”
“‘OCD’ isn’t about colour-coded bookshelves or straightened picture frames—it’s the war inside your own head, a loop you can’t break,” Wehbe says. “‘OCD’ is a prayer said backwards, a love letter from the part of me I’ve tried to kill a hundred times. I just pressed record on the part of my brain that never stops talking. I wanted the song to feel relentless, the way the thoughts are. It’s ugly, it’s loud, and it doesn’t care if you’re tired.”

First releasing music in 2020, Wehbe’s career has been on a constant upwards trajectory since the release of her 2023 EP Jupiter and Mars. She has been invited to perform as support for major artists including The Chicks, G Flip. Peach PRC, JP Cooper and Beth McCarthy, as well as performing at the TikTok Awards late last year with a cover of the hit Dasha single ‘Austin’.
One of Australia’s greatest young talents, Wehbe never fails to impress with her musical versatility, beguiling voice and songs that always manage to really connect. ‘OCD’ has all of this in droves and is the perfect opener to her musical year.
‘OCD’ is out now via Warner Music Australia. You can download and stream here.
