Australian icon Kate Ceberano today announces she will be launching her Australian Made tour across Australia throughout June, July and August.

The tour honours the 40th anniversary of Ceberano’s music career which begun at the end of 1984 when her band I’m Talking released their debut single ‘Trust Me’, which featured the then 18 year old Ceberano on lead vocals.

The tour will highlight the biggest hits from Ceberano’s remarkable career, which has seen her achieve 10 top 10 albums, 15 top 40 singles, 11 platinum albums and 5 ARIA Awards to name just a few of her achievements. Starting with her three times platinum dance-pop debut solo album Brave in 1989, Ceberano has been one of Australia’s most versatile performers, scoring hits with pop, funk, jazz, rock and orchestral music.

The tour will also see Ceberano perform some of Australia’s most treasured pop songs, including hits from Divinyls, Models, INXS, Silverchair, Sia and John Farnham amongst many others. The name of the tour harkens back to one of the greatest moments in Australian music history, the 1986/1987 Australian Made tour, the first ever all-Australian touring music festival. Ceberano performed on the tour as part of I’m Talking, alongside INXS, Jimmy Barnes, Models and Divinyls.

Alongside the hits, Ceberano will also be sharing backstage stories, remembered moments, and the untamed energy that governed the Australian music scene in her first days as a performer.

“It’s so important for me to express my culture, my Australia, in song,” Ceberano says. “This is a love letter to the artists, bands, audiences and storytellers who I’ve travelled with over this vast continent for four decades, a deep dive into what makes ME an Australian artist: my hungry heart holding their words to my chest, making them the soundtrack to my life.”

Kicking off on 6 June in Batemans Bay, Ceberano will perform in mostly regional centres across New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australian and the Northern Territory, wrapping up at the Mundi Mundi Bash in Broken Hill on 21-23 August. Tickets are on sale now here.

One of the greatest Australian singers, songwriters and performers of all time, Kate Ceberano has been a national treasure almost from the very first moment she appeared in 1984. Australian Made will take her back to her roots and with her magnetic stage presence is guaranteed to be an incredible experience.
