Hot on the heels of the announcement her eagerly anticipated debut album Hey u x will be released on November 13, New Zealand budding superstar BENEE has released the new single ‘Plain’ featuring Lily Allen and Flo Milli.

A mellow, swirling dream of a track that sees BENEE send a pointed message to an ex - ‘What a shame your girl’s so plain, she’s got nothing on me” - British icon Lily Allen makes an appearance on the second verse while American rapper Flo Milli delivers a razor sharp rap towards the end.

“I wanted to make it a song someone could listen to when they find out their ex is with someone new,” BENEE explains. “The feeling sucks, so I wanted ‘Plain’ to make ya feel like you have the upper hand. Lily and Flo Milli both have such cool sass, and both their verses really elevated the track!”

BENEE’s debut album is to be released in November 13 and features a stellar cast of collaborators including Grimes, Gus Dapperton, Mallrat, Kenny Beats, Bakar and Muroki. Check out the tracklisting below and you can pre-order the album here now.
