AURORA releases new track 'Animal': "It's grotesque. It’s beautiful. We are animals hunting for animals.”

Norway’s AURORA today kicks off 2019 in style with the release of her new single ‘Animal’.

Following on from last year’s ‘Forgotten Love’ and the massive hit ‘Queendom’, which has racked up 8 million streams on Spotify alone, ‘Animal’ was produced by AURORA with the My Riot production team (London Grammar, Birdy, La Roux). The track is classic AURORA, with a chilled out verse that quickly escalates into a anthemic electro banger. Originally recorded in Norway for last year’s Infections of a Different Kind (Step 1) EP the track was held over as an introduction to 2019’s slew of new releases.

An insightful take on human nature - Hunting for love, killing for pleasure’ - AURORA says of the song: “I spend a lot of time thinking about humans. And I wanted to make a song wrapped in a blanket of obliviousness whilst speaking the wonderful and horrible truth that I see in us. We are always thriving for something. If it’s love, money, sex, success, power or just a bigger piece of a delicious chocolate cake. It’s very interesting. It's grotesque. It’s beautiful. We are always hunting for something. We are animals hunting for animals.”

‘Animal’ is available now on all digital platforms. You can also watch the film clip below.

AURORA is spending most of the first half of 2019 touring North and South America, tour dates and tickets can be found here
