It has been 15 years since New Zealand’s electro-rock-pop artist Ladyhawke (full name Pop Brown) first burst into our ears with her global hit single ‘My Delirium’ and her self-titled debut album.

Today Ladyhawke announces that she will be celebrating the milestone by bringing her anniversary live show to Australia after sell out dates in the UK in February.

Kicking off on 26 July, Ladyhawke will play her debut album in full in shows in Adelaide, Fremantle, Brisbane and Sydney before wrapping up in Northcote on 3 August.

Ladyhawke’s music career started in Wellington as part of hard rock band Two Lane Blacktop. When the band broke up, she moved to Australia where she formed the band Teenager with Nick Littlemore, who would later find fame as part of Pnau. Wanting to build her own solo career, she left Teenager and launched the Ladyhawke project. With a sound that was leant into nostalgic 1980s synthpop whilst also adding a dash of contemporary indie rock, her fourth single ‘My Delirium’ soared into the top 10 in New Zealand and Australia, and peaked in the top 40 in the UK. The Ladyhawke album was a similarly huge global hit, peaking at number 1 in New Zealand and making the top 20 in Australia and the UK.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale at 12pm AEST on 17 April here while general sale tickets go on sale at 12pm AEST on 18 April here. Get in quick to celebrate the joy of Ladyhawke’s debut album in a one off live experience.
