VIDEO PREMIERE: Karmel Jäger releases 'Trafalgar Square'
Australian electronic artist Karmel Jäger released her second single ‘Trafalgar Square’ on May 17 and today Women In Pop exclusively premieres the music video ahead of its official release on Friday 24 May. A dreamy, moody and melancholy ode to lost love, the video is a psychedelic neon fantasy with Jäger singing against a backdrop of the titular London landmark.
Originally from Sydney, Jäger is a classically trained singer and has studied at prestigious institutes the Sydney Conservatorium and London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She moved to London in 2014 and performed at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and The Barbican and also sung on the soundtracks of shows including Sherlock and films Marvel’s Avengers and World of Warcraft.
After returning to Australia in 2017, Jäger switched focus to the electronic music scene and released debut single ‘Back of You’ which climbed to number 2 on the Dance Charts and number 7 on the Electronic Charts. Also a producer and DJ, the release of ‘Trafalgar Square’ is the next step in Jäger’s impressive career, showcasing her as one of the most accomplished new talents releasing music in 2019.
