Kota Banks & Ninajirachi announce debut EP 'True North' will be released November 6

After launching their collaborative project last month with the single ‘True North’, Kota Banks and Ninajirachi today announce they will release their debut EP True North on November 6. The combination of two of the most unique and intriguing artists in Australian music has, not surprisingly, resulted in an EP with a diverse sonic landscape that never fails to impress or be less than utterly captivating. Over seven tracks, the combination of Ninajirachi’s electronic beats and Kota Banks’ remarkable vocals and knack for creating an addictive melody are a winning recipe, and create a listening experience unlike anything else out there today.
Two singles have already been released from the EP, the shimmering, beat-driven ‘True North’ and the glitchy, sensual synth of ‘Opus’, today also sees the release of the music video for ‘True North’. Directed, filmed and edited by Ninajirachi, Kota Banks and their creative collaborator Tiff Williams, the dreamy surreal video includes 360 footage filmed by a GoPro Max and is the perfect accompaniment to the song. As individual artists, Ninajirachi and Kota Banks have released some of the most compelling music in pop over the last 12 months, with Ninajirachi’s debut EP Lapland, full of glistening, icy electronica, arriving last year to critical acclaim, with Kota Banks releasing her EP Sweet & the Spice, a winning mix of pop, rap and R&B, earlier this year. Between them, the two artists have accumulated over 100 millions streams.
