Sparrows releases new single 'Sexy Solitude'

Sydney-based artist Sparrows (full name Jessica Nitties) today releases the new single ‘Sexy Solitude’. A sensual, electro track with elements of Middle Eastern, R&B and synthpop swirling through it, the lyrics express the frustrations behind one of the many things lockdown put a stop to - sexual escapades. “‘Sexy Solitude’ was written over several months, firstly born out of contemplating crossing the line with a good friend,” Nitties says. “It then took on further meaning during lockdown as we’ve had to navigate our way through the realisation that connection and physical intimacy have often been out of reach. Lockdown has forced many of us to go inward for pleasure and self-fulfilment learning that we have to be our own ‘friend with benefits’”.

Coupled with a B-side track ‘Run 4 U’, a more edgier, harder dance track, ‘Sexy Solitude’ is a song that sweeps you up and throws in more and more addictive melodies and harmonies as the track goes along. A brilliant slice of pop from an artist that continues to push sonic boundaries with her music, this is exactly the type of music you need to slide into the weekend.
