Eve Karydas announces 2019 tour
Eves Karydas has today announced she will be touring in early 2019 to celebrate the release of her debut album summerskin.
summerskin is a record that documents Eves Karydas’ journey of self-discovery across the globe. After beginning in Cairns as a teen café singer, she would eventually launch her career as Eves The Behavior in Brisbane. Following the release of her debut EP, however, she set off in search of herself, travelling around America and Europe before landing in glamorous Camden, London, “in a small, dingy flat on the fifth floor of an ex-council block, with five other people. And that’s where the record was born.”
“I want to put across a sense of confidence in myself that I never had,” says Eves. “I never tapped into that side of me on the Eves The Behavior stuff. I had to fake it for a while until it started to feel natural, but it has been the most liberating experience for me. It’s been the best thing, because suddenly I can talk about what I do and not worry about someone saying, ‘Oh, you’re really up yourself.’ It’s like, no: I’m excited. And there’s nothing wrong with that.” Listen to Eves latest single ‘Damn Loyal’ below.
The summerskin tour will cover the whole country, starting in Perth before a final show in her hometown Cairns. Eves is earning a reputation for one of the country’s best live performers and in 2018 supported Dua Lipa and performed at Splendour In The Grass.
