E^ST releases new single 'Maybe It's Me'
Australian singer-songwriter E^ST (real name Melissa Bester) today releases her new single, the upbeat playful-yet-self-deprecating ‘Maybe It’s Me’. The follow up to February’s stunning electro-jazz-ballad ‘Fresh Out of Love’, ‘Maybe It’s Me’ is full of shimmering beats, synth grooves and wry lyrics which instantly raises the mood - if this doesn’t get you up and dancing away the self-isolation blues in your living room, nothing will.
“This song is about being a hot mess in life, and starting to wonder if maybe life has nothing to do with it and you just kinda suck,” Bester says. “My music’s always been driven by my emotional state. It’s the way I express how I’m feeling, but just as often it’s how I find out how I’m feeling.”
‘Maybe It’s Me’ is the second single to be released from E^ST’s debut album ‘I’m Doing It’, due to be released on July 17 and available to pre-order now.
‘Maybe It’s Me’ is out now. You can download on iTunes and stream on Apple Music or Spotify
