Preatures Release First Single From Forthcoming Second Album
Sydney band Preatures release 'Girlhood', the first single from their forthcoming second album today.
The song deals with the contradictions of modern womanhood with singer Isabella 'Izzi' Manfredi saying “I can only speak of my own experiences, I’m not trying to speak for other women. This song is about exploring the contradictions of my own identity.”
The forthcoming new album was recorded and produced by the band's guitarist Jack Moffitt at their Doldrums studio in Surry Hills, and was mixed by acclaimed mixing engineer Bob Clearmountain, who has worked with everyone from Bowie and Springsteen to INXS, Divinyls and Crowded House.
The band will debut material from their new album at the Sydney Opera House during VIVID Sydney (26 May - 17 June)
